What’s New in the 2025 Nissan Frontier?
If you’re looking for a redesigned truck, you won’t find it in the 2025 Nissan Frontier. Although there isn’t much information about the vehicle yet, we anticipate much of the car to remain similar to the previous year, where we see several updates.
In the 2024 Nissan Frontier, we saw an SL trim appear instead of the classic SV trim. It also decided to add a hardbody for those who wanted a different appearance.
Something new is the Frontier’s standing as the only truck from the Nissan name. For the 2025 year, the auto manufacturer decided to stop producing the Titan. For devoted Nissan truck fans, there is only one selection at this time.
How Much Will It Cost?
Again, there is limited information on the price point of the 2025 Nissan Frontier. However, we can check out the average cost of trim levels in the 2025 Nissan Frontier to predict what it will take to make the 2025 version yours.
There are four trim levels available for the 2024 Nissan Frontier. The Nissan Frontier Crew Cab S 2x2 at $31,810, the Nissan Frontier Crew Cab SV 4x2 at $34,610, the Nissan Frontier Crew Cab PRO-X 4x2 at $37,040, and the Nissan Frontier Crew Cab PRO-4X 4x4 at $40,040.
We don’t expect the prices to remain the same for the 2025 version. The trims might be completely different. However, we anticipate something similar to these numbers for the 2025 Nissan Frontier starting prices.
THE MOST RELIABLE YEAR FOR THE NISSAN FRONTIER
For many pickup shoppers, buying used is the smartest way to spend their money. It’s an approach that requires knowing the most reliable years of the Nissan Frontier if you’re passing on other trucks in the category.
How Does the Performance Look?
When checking out a machine like the 2025 Nissan Frontier, performance matters, especially since the Nissan Frontier is now the only truck available from Nissan. Right now, we expect the 2025 Nissan Frontier equipped with a 3.8-liter V-6 engine offering 310 horsepower and 281 lb-feet of torque.
This engine system is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drive system, though it’s possible to upgrade to a four-wheel drive. The design seems like a competitive selection on the go.
Unfortunately, the acceleration of the car is where it seems to fall short. The predicted speed from 0-60 MPH is a mere 7.9 seconds. That’s not very fast and falls short of all the biggest rivals of the 2025 Frontier. We expect the EPA to sit at 17-18 in the city and 22-24 on the highway like the previous year.
THE NISSAN FRONTIER YEARS TO AVOID
If you take our advice on which Nissan Frontier years to avoid, you should easily be able to find a strong, dependable midsize pickup.
What’s the Exterior Like?
We don’t know what the 2025 Nissan Frontier will look like, but we don’t think the new iteration will be too far off from years past. The exterior looks like it’s built to be an off-roading machine, offering ample room in the cab for all your belongings and tires that look like they mean business.
One of the best aspects of the 2025 Nissan Frontier is the exterior because it possesses a unique ruggedness that drivers of mid-size trucks tend to lose in much of the competition. While it might lag in some areas of power, it catches up in these.
Of course, there could be some slight tweaks to the exterior - but we have yet to find out. We will let you know if Nissan releases any more information surrounding the 2025 Nissan Frontier.
What’s the Interior Like?
Finally, it’s helpful to check out the interior of a vehicle before putting down a significant amount of money. Luckily, the reconfigurability of the Nissan Frontier is one of the areas where it stands out the most. There is solid room in the Frontier for cargo, not including the space provided by the truck bed.
Unfortunately, the rear legroom of the Nissan Frontier has always been squishy. We hope there will be an improvement to the 2025 Nissan Frontier in this area, offering a far more comfortable experience. However, we don’t have high hopes in this department - the legroom likely won’t shift too much.
The standard tech suite we saw in the 2024 version should translate into the 2025 iteration. It should have an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster display, and USB ports. There might even be a few more updates Nissan releases later in the year.
Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier Worth the Wait?
We’ve mentioned several items detailing the 2025 Nissan Frontier, from the price point to the interior. Before purchasing it for yourself, there’s one final question to consider - is it a good idea to wait for the 2025 Frontier, or should you invest in a different truck?
If you want the newest version, it might be worth it for the 2025 Nissan Frontier. However, there aren’t too many significant changes, so it won’t be that different from the 2024 iteration. We recommend the 2024 Nissan Frontier to save money and access most of the same features in one investment.
