While the battery’s exact capacity has not been revealed, it is believed to be roughly 100 kilowatt-hours, similar to the base F-150 Lightning. This would result in a charging time of approximately five hours for a full charge.
The updated model of the E-Transit is ideal for construction fleets that need to travel long distances and recreational vehicles that require a greater driving range. The current electric Transit has a limited range, which can be insufficient for some users. Since February 2022, the E-Transit has covered over 12 million zero-emissions miles in the US and Canada, resulting in fuel savings of approximately 745,000 gallons compared to gasoline-powered vans.
