The Jeep brand is synonymous with adventure, fun, and capability. Jeep vehicles are known for their serious off-roading chops and are go-to options for the more adventurous kind. When most think of Jeep, the model that comes to mind is the iconic Wrangler. However, it would be a mistake to write off the Jeep Cherokee as it’s a solid compact SUV, thanks to its off-road pedigree and lifestyle branding.
But did you know that your Jeep Cherokee is full of fun little details you may not even find after years of driving? That’s right; several Jeep Cherokee Easter eggs are waiting for you to be discovered.
Some Jeep Cherokee Easter eggs are trickier to find than others. Lucky for you, we are here to help you find Easter eggs and hidden details on the Jeep Cherokee SUV. Let’s take a look!
The Best Jeep Cherokee Easter Eggs
Although the Jeep Easter eggs have only recently blown up through social media, these design flourishes have been included since the 90s. Here are the best little secrets we found on the Jeep Cherokee:

The Willys MB Jeep (via TikTok)
This is one Easter egg that’s literally in front of you, but you won’t see it unless you know where to look. Look closely at the lower right of the driver’s windshield, and you’ll find a silhouette of the Willys MB Jeep. It appears to be ascending the steep incline of the window and considering its off-road chops, it will probably make it.
In addition, another spot where you can find the Willys Jeep is in the middle of the windshield. This time, the silhouette is slightly different as it depicts the Willys driving over a mound of dirt or mountain – another apparent nod to the Jeep’s legendary off-road capability.
Jeep has always been proud of its legacy, so many of its Easter eggs are a nod to the original Jeep design, the Willys MB. The Willys Jeep is one of the most common hidden details in numerous models. This iconic military truck was used by the Americans and helped win the war during World War II.

This Easter egg is a lot easier to spot since it’s staring right at you while driving. Just below the steering wheel horn and under the Jeep logo, you’ll find an etching that says “Since 1941.” Of course, this is a little piece of history because the Jeep brand was established in 1941. We’re unsure if this counts as an Easter egg since it’s so easy to spot.
However, another “Since 1941” etching is located on one of the headlights, making it more worthy of being called an Easter egg.

Here’s another hidden detail that’s actually difficult to find unless you know where to look. Check the front passenger seat of your Jeep Cherokee, and you should see a flip-up storage compartment. Look at the bottom of the seat, and a map and a set of coordinates will greet you. The map and coordinates point to the Moab, Utah trail, which is, of course, a callback to the brand’s off-roading legacy. It’s an excellent little detail that’s challenging and fun to find.

The Iconic Seven-Slot Grille
One of the most common secret details that are incorporated in many Jeep models is the iconic seven-slot grille design of the original Jeep. One of the easiest seven-slot grille etchings you can find is by popping over the hood and on the front headlights. In other Jeep lineups, the recognizable seven-slot grille was found in various places, such as the headlights and taillights, behind the rearview mirror, on the tailgate, and into the speaker shrouds. This secret detail is about as omnipresent as the Willys MB in terms of Easter eggs.

This is also one of the less visible Jeep Cherokee Easter Eggs. While opening the doors of the Cherokee SUV, you’ll find a piece of black plastic side rails with an etching that says “No Step!” We think this Easter egg is more of a joke and a safety warning at the same time. It’s a joke because it references aircraft-style designs and a safety warning because the rails are too thin to support a person. Be on the safe side, and don’t step on this piece of plastic.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU REPLACE YOUR BRAKES?
Unless you’re a mechanic or super-dedicated car enthusiast, you might not know much about the brakes on your car. How long do they typically last? How often should you replace your brakes? We’ve got answers
Are Easter Eggs on the Cherokee the Same as the Grand Cherokee?
No. The Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee are considered specific vehicles; thus, they don’t have the same Easter eggs and locations. While there may be some overlap, both the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee have unique hidden goodies for you to find. For example, the Grand Cherokee has an American flag on its exterior and a 313 area code under the hood, which is the area code of Detroit.
Does the Jeep Cherokee Have Animal Easter eggs?
People all over social media were having too much fun finding animal Easter eggs on their Jeep Cherokee. Unfortunately, from what we’ve seen, the Cherokee doesn’t have a secret animal Easter egg which is quite a bummer. However, that could change in later productions of the Cherokee SUV. In comparison, the Jeep Renegade has a spider buddy found on the gas tank, while the Jeep Compass has the Loch Ness monster.
Are Easter Eggs the Same Between Jeep Models?
No. While standard Easter eggs are found across all Jeep models (e.g., the Willys MB Jeep, seven-slot grille design, etc.), many of the hidden details are references that are unique to a specific model or trim level. Unfortunately, the Jeep Cherokee doesn’t have that many secret design flourishes, not primarily the unique ones.
