Talk about fuel economy. We know it might be cheating to include an all-electric vehicle on our list of luxury cars with the best gas mileage, but can you blame us? The Model S is a car that’s completely changing the standard for even other electric vehicles, having recently achieved an estimated range of 390 miles on a charge - approximately double that of other electric luxury vehicles.
That means you can drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles without stopping once (as Tesla demonstrates on their website.) And you won’t want to - interior tech like tablet charging ports and “gaming from any seat” will keep you and your entire family entertained the whole drive.

This compact vehicle from the infamous German manufacturer gets 36 highway miles to the gallon and 25 in the city for a combined 30.5 average. And with a 7.1 second acceleration time and 221 lb-feet of torque, the A220 strikes just the right balance between fun and efficiency.

Of course, the main draw here is the excellent mpg ratings at 25/35/28 mpg city/highway/combined.
2021 Volvo S60 PHEV - $47,650 - $53,400
The Volvo S60 is undoubtedly one of the coolest kids in the luxury cars block. The S60 features strong acceleration and braking performance, wonderfully comfortable interiors, top-shelf safety features, and an excellent plug-in hybrid T8.
The main draw here is the turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine in tandem with an electric motor – this enables the S60 PHEV to have power outputs of 400 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque. That’s a ridiculous amount of power for a family sedan, and it happens to be one of the most fuel-efficient luxury vehicles available at 69 mpg combined (hybrid).
