Royal Farms Gas Prices: Everything You Need To Know

American drivers are being squeezed at the pump, and the main culprit is the surging gas prices. With the current state of economic and geopolitical affairs (Russia’s war on Ukraine), gas prices hit a record high back in March at $4.33 per gallon. However, consumers are getting a little bit of respite because gas prices are coming down after hitting record highs in March.
The rise and fall of gas highlight the importance of staying on top of prices across your local area. For today’s post, the spotlight is on Royal Farms Gas Prices.
How are Royal Farms gas prices these days? Is Royal Farms gas good quality? What are the ways to save when getting your gas from Royal Farms? We’ll answer these questions and more below.
How Much Does Royal Farms Gas Cost?
Royal Farms is a convenience store chain owned by Cloverland Farms Dairy. Royal Farms serves mid-Atlantic states with over 247 locations, including Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Royal Farms are relatively popular among customers, thanks to their food items and coffee selection. Royal Farms gas stations are also popular because their prices are relatively competitive in many areas.

Comparing Royal Farms Gas Prices
In Columbia, MD, Royal Farms offer a per-gallon price of $3.69 for regular and $4.39 for premium. This pricing allows Royal Farms to be competitive and is one of the area’s top ten lowest gas prices. Meanwhile, the top players in Columbia are Costco and BJ’s, both at $3.49 per gallon.
In Ashburn, VA, Royal Farms couldn’t make it to the top ten cheapest gas prices in the area, with a per-gallon price of $4.09 for regular and $4.59 for premium. Although Royal Farms didn’t make it to the top ten, its price point is closer to the top contenders. For example, there’s more or less a 10-cent difference between Royal Farms and the lowest prices in the area, which are from Sunoco, BP, and Exxon.
Moving on to Dover, DE, Royal Farms offers a price of $3.99 per gallon for regular and $4.57 for premium. Although Royal Farms has made it into the top ten cheapest gas prices in Dover, it’s still about 30 cents more expensive than the top gas station, which is Liberty, at $3.70 per gallon. Country Cupboard follows Liberty at $3.79 and Hylton’s at $3.85.
Last but not least, we move on to Lancaster, PA, where Royal Farms has a per-gallon pricing of $4.22. Royal Farms fumbled for this location and missed out on the top ten placement. Instead, Lancaster motorists should go to Costco ($3.93 per gallon), BJ ($3.93 per gallon), and Mountville Market ($3.93 per gallon) for more affordable fuel prices.
Overall, Royal Farms did an excellent job of being competitive in many of its locations. Combined with a fuel savings program (more on this later), Royal Farms is a solid choice for consumers looking for lower gas prices.

Is Royal Farms Gas Good Quality?
In case you don’t know, not all gasoline products are created equal. Aside from the usual fuel grade (regular, premium, etc.), one criterion that separates gas products is the Top Tier certification. Royal Farms gas isn’t a Top Tier brand.
In 2004, Top Tier gas was developed to go above and beyond the minimum government-mandated standard for detergent additives. The additives and detergents help protect increasingly sophisticated engines from carbon buildup and deposits. High levels of carbon buildup can result in decreased fuel economy and performance issues like rough idling, knocking or pinging noises, and acceleration hesitation.
Unfortunately, Royal Farms is not part of the Top Tier gas program. However, like most commercial fuel products, Royal Farms adhere to strict government standards, which means it’s perfectly good for your vehicle. We’ve found no significant number of negative feedback about Royal Farms gas either.
How to Save on Royal Farms Gas Prices with Fuel Rewards Program
Royal Farms has a pretty good rewards program that may enable you to save up to 25 cents per gallon. Royal Farms’ rewards program is called ROFO Rewards, which gives you access to special member offers and earn reward points on purchases. However, ROFO Rewards by itself won’t help you save gas when pumping at Royal Farms – you need to upgrade to ROFOPay.
ROFOPay is basically the company’s payment method that you can use in the store and the pumps. Upgrading to ROFOPay is as simple as linking your ROFO Rewards account and adding a checking account.
Once you’ve upgraded your account to ROFOPay, you’re automatically qualified to receive 25 cents off per gallon when filling up at Royal Farms – that’s pretty good savings. However, the catch is that the 25-cent off only lasts for 30 days after enrollment. After which, the discount comes down to 10 cents per gallon, which isn’t bad at all. Another limitation is that the gas discounts don’t apply to the state of New Jersey because of the ban on motorists pumping their own gas.
One thing to keep in mind when registering for ROFOPay is they’ll require you to present a driver’s license and the last four digits of your social security number to participate.

Are Gas Prices Ever Coming Down?
After experiencing all-time record highs in gas prices, many Americans wonder if prices are ever coming down? As of this writing, gas prices have started to decrease ever so slightly. However, they’re still within record numbers and are higher than last year.
According to industry experts, oil prices will slowly decline, but it’s too optimistic to expect prices to be comparable to last year. Americans will likely contend with high gas prices before it returns to acceptable levels for many more months.
