While the interior feels basic and low-rent, the 2023 Corolla Cross more than makes up for its long list of standard tech and infotainment features.

The base Corolla Cross L gets an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. With 26.5 cu-ft for FWD models and 25.2 cu-ft for AWD models, there’s plenty of room for your gear, luggage, or a sizable Costco haul. It certainly holds its own compared to the Seltos (26.6 cu-ft) and Kona (19.2 cu-ft).

With the seats folded down in a 6040 split, the space opens up to a generous 66.8 cu-ft (65.5 cu-ft with AWD), easily beating the Seltos and Kona in this department. Unfortunately, the seats don’t fold down flat, so there’s a bit of space compromise, and the load floor isn’t completely flat.

The 2023 Corolla Cross greatly maximizes cabin and cargo space on a thrifty build with little to no compromises.
