The popular Kia Niro holds a unique position in the U.S. market. While most of its rivals, like the Mazda CX-30 and VW Taos, rely on gasoline engines, the Niro offers a diverse range of electrified powertrains. Kia has taken a different approach, providing customers with hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric variants without any traditional gas-only options. The Hyundai Kona and Toyota Corolla Cross offer some electrified choices, but the Niro is the only one to cover all the bases.
